USPS Halts Network Consolidation Amid Service Challenges
In response to mounting scrutiny and service disruptions, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has announced a pause on its mail processing network consolidation until at least Jan. 1, 2025. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy conveyed the agency's intention to halt the transfer of some mail processing operations from local plants to larger regional hubs, citing a need for a moderated pace of implementation even after the designated timeline.
